About

The roots of on the wave came out of conversations that a group of friends from 'web 1.0' had about the changing nature of community, identity, and creativity online. Where there once existed a scattering of pseudonym-wielding artists sharing deeply personal and honest work, there is now the shallow network of hundreds-long friends list of people who know your name but you never talk to.
The idea began to form of a sort of "online artist commune" where people could share their stories, poetry, photography, manifestos, and more with each other, making room to discuss and encourage one another as we wrestle with the changing realities of life in the emerging era. What you see now is the start of a conversation, not an end product.
on the wave was built on bits and pieces of code and ideas from around the internets. If you see something that looks like it came from you or your website... thanks. If you're mad about it, drop me a note. I promise to try and make it all better.
This is especially true of zefrank and his original the show. Send him some candy.
